"Smart Comfort You Feel Good About"boody.com.au/
Boody is an Australian clothing company for men, women, and children.
They decided to source their yarn from bamboo because of both how ecologically friendly it is and its quality as a material. Bamboo makes highly efficient use of water and grows readily, making for a more renewable resource and reducing water waste. It also produces 30% more oxygen than an equivalent area of trees, requiring no additional irrigation or agricultural inputs. As a member of the 1% For The Planet network, they donate 1% of their annual online sales to nonprofit partners. They currently support Greening Australia, Thread Together, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, and PropellerProjects in conserving Australian wildernesses, providing quality clothes to communities in need, caring for the material needs of cancer patients, and fostering innovation within sustainable businesses.
David and Shaun Greenblo started Boody as a way to bring sustainable, healthier comfort into the everyday. They chose to focus on basic clothing essentials to introduce an innovative eco-friendly material in an accessible, familiar context. They built the company up from the beginning to be responsibly run and are certified by several ethical standards including WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production), EcoCert, FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), as well as the ISO 14001 and 9001, which validate environmentally sound practices and consistency of product.
