Company Description

Brandless is an online supermarket dedicated to providing ethically sourced, high-quality products for less money while feeding those in need.

Brandless rigorously sources each one of their products for quality and ethical practices. That means different standards for different items — like organic, fairly traded, non-GMO food products; FSC-certified and sustainable bamboo-based paper; or certified organic cotton. They’re also committed to giving back to the community: through a partnership with Feeding America, they donate a meal to someone hungry for every purchase made on their website. To date, they’ve given away more than 1.5 million meals.

Brandless got started when Tina Sharkey and Ido Leffler had the big idea to change the way everyday pantry staples are made, distributed, and sold. The concept was strict simplicity: cut down on wasteful distribution, storage, marketing markups, slim down the overwhelming variety of choices, and give customers a fixed low price they can always count on. That’s why everything they sell —yes, everything! — comes in the same monochromatic packaging and costs exactly $3.
