Company Description

Daughter of the Land is a skin care company that makes a line of soaps and face and body oils.

Daughter of the Land is a member of 1% For The Planet, through which they donate a portion of their sales revenue to nonprofits dedicated to protecting the environment. The botanical ingredients in their products are certified organic, and many are sourced from Fair Trade suppliers. Daughter of the Land’s entire line is Leaping Bunny Certified as cruelty free, meaning nothing has been tested on animals at any point in the supply chain. Plus, their packaging keeps sustainability in mind — they use recycled paper, glass, and metal instead of plastic.

Ashley Spierer founded Daughter of the Land in 2014. The spark for the business came when she realized that by relying on a short list of natural ingredients — with a long history of human use — she could effectively replace the overwhelming range of specialty beauty products she had been using.
