ECOALF is a sustainable lifestyle brand that produces clothing, footwear, and accessories for men and women.
The company uses recycled materials with the aim of creating a new generation of fashion products of the best quality, design, and technical properties, and reducing environmental impact and lowering resource consumption in the process. To do that, ECOALF creates fabrics from a range of waste materials, including decommissioned fishing nets, plastic bottles, cotton waste, used tires, and discarded coffee grounds. In 2016, the company took this work one step further by launching its “Upcycling the Oceans” initiative in Spain and then Thailand. The initiative works with fishermen to retrieve waste from the ocean, and then converts that waste into the raw materials ECOALF uses for its products.
ECOALF has built its business on critical partnerships with big-name brands. In 2013 alone, the company created a line of fashion products for Barneys New York, worked with Apple to create a technology accessories and case collection, and partnered with Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle site Goop to design and produce a vest and backpack – all made from discarded fishing nets. The company has since continued forming innovative partnerships with notable brands, individuals, and organizations, including COOL Hunting, Helena Rohner, will.i.am and The Coca-Cola Company, Swatch, and Sybilla.
