Company Description

FEED designs and produces a wide range of bags and select accessories, jewelry, and home goods.

For each item purchased, FEED donates meals or micronutrient kits to those in need around the world. FEED customers can track how many meals their individual purchases have provided over time via personal account pages. To date, FEED has donated more than 100 million meals around the world. The company also works with established artisan cooperatives in select markets for a growing number of its collections. The sale of artisan-made FEED products results in meal donations to the countries where they were produced. FEED notes that all its products are created under fair-labor conditions, using environmentally friendly materials (i.e. organic cotton and burlap) whenever possible.

As a World Food Programme (WFP) Honorary Spokesperson, Lauren Bush Lauren witnessed firsthand the transformative impact a donated school meal can have on a child in need. She designed FEED’s signature burlap bag to tangibly engage others in the global fight against hunger: each item has a printed number on it, representing the impact it is helping to make. The company is still growing, too: in 2017, FEED opened its first brick-and-mortar store and café in Brooklyn, New York, featuring its own products alongside “FEED Finds” – a curated collection of goods supporting a social mission.
