Company Description

Jonas Paul Eyewear makes sophisticated glasses for kids.

Jonas Paul’s modern frames empower children to feel confident and enable parents to make socially responsible choices when it comes to purchasing eyewear. Their social mission is to prevent childhood blindness in the developing world. In other words, to make a big impact and help kids look incredibly dapper! For every pair of glasses they sell, Jonas Paul donates to Christian Blind Mission (CBM) International in the form of an annual supply of sight-saving — and sometimes life-saving — Vitamin A supplements, for two children. CBM also helps to conduct education and outreach around the importance of Vitamin A consumption in preventing blindness, delivering sustainable positive change for individuals and their communities. As of September 2018, Jonas Paul and CBM have reached nearly 48,000 children.

Ben and Laura Harrison founded the company when their son — Jonas Paul — was born blind thanks to a rare disorder known as Peter’s Anomaly. As they explored the options to help improve his eyesight, they were frustrated by the limited options available for children and decided to make their own. Since its founding in 2013, Jonas Paul has been featured on NBC Nightly News and NBC Today Show, in The Wall Street Journal, and Huffington Post and has garnered numerous awards.
