Company Description

Kester Black is an Australian nail care company, offering nail polish, polish removers, and hand and body wash.

Kester Black was founded on a mission to protect people and planet. The company works with i=Change to donate $1 from each of its sales to a select group of causes, ranging from providing support to domestic violence victims, to providing shelter to those seeking asylum. Kester Black customers can select which cause they’d like their purchase to support at check-out. Kester Black is cruelty-free, palm oil-free, and vegan, and all Kester Black nail polish bottles, including their plastic labels, are recyclable. The company’s polishes are all 10-Free™, which means the company does not use the top 10 most hazardous chemicals commonly found in nail polishes.

Kester Black founder Anna Ross built her company on a vision to create Australian-made, professional-quality, environmentally sustainable, and cruelty-free cosmetics inspired by beautiful design. The company prides itself on its innovations (it was one of the first nail polish companies in the world to create a water-based nail polish remover) and inclusivity (it switched its entire range of polishes to a water-permeable, breathable formula to allow Muslim women to wear their polish as well). Kester Black has also earned accreditations from some of the most stringent industry groups – including B Corporation, the Halal Certification Authority, and Cruelty-Free International.
