Company Description

Patria is a luxury menswear company, producing 100% British-made apparel, footwear, and accessories.

Founded by veterans to create an income stream for the main British Armed Forces Charities, Patria gives 10% of its net profits to The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (2.5%), ABF The Soldiers’ Charity (5%), and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (2.5%). The company also donates directly to these charities from the sale of its T-shirts and sweatshirts. Committed to transparency, Patria has pledged to report its total giving at the end of each fiscal year, beginning in 2018. A central tenet to the company’s mission is a commitment to helping foster onshore employment in the British garment industry. The company works with artisan craftsmen, vetting them to ensure the highest possible standards of animal welfare in sourcing their materials.

Patria founder Richard Thackray developed the idea for Patria in order to give back to the British armed forces, serving and veteran, and the families and communities who support them. The all-veteran company launched on Remembrance Sunday 2017, and has attracted attention from customers and media outlets – including the Financial Times and Marie Claire – around the world. Patria sells its items direct to consumers via its online shop.
