Company Description

SoapBox Soaps makes hand soaps and other bath products.

SoapBox operates on a buy-one-give-one model, and every product purchased results in the donation of a bar of soap to someone in need. To date they have donated about three million bars of soap domestically and abroad. About sixty percent of their donations are made in the United States where they partner with an organization called Clean The World that remakes soap bar scraps that would otherwise be wasted into new bars. Soap bars are then distributed to homeless shelters and food pantries where they are desperately needed. In the developing world, their partners purchase soap locally and they provide funds to start soap-making businesses — so that donations always support local economies.

The first batch of SoapBox Soap was made in Founder David Simnick’s college apartment sink. SoapBox’s products are PETA certified as vegan and cruelty-free, come in recyclable packaging and are made in the United States with naturally derived ingredients. Every product comes with a code that you can enter on their website to see exactly where in the world your purchase is making a difference.
