Values

  • Buy One, Give One

Company Description

Better World Books is an online seller of new and used books and textbooks.

Founded in 2002 by three friends from the University of Notre Dame, Better World Books has made global literacy a cornerstone of its business. With every purchase, the company gives a book to someone in need. Social and environmental responsibility are core commitments: Better World supports book drives and used textbook collections at thousands of college campuses and libraries nationwide, recycles any books it can’t use, and offers customers the option of shipping orders “carbon balanced” with Green-e Climate certified offsets.

To date, Better World has donated more than 24 million books through its “Book for Book” program and raised $26 million to support literacy initiatives and libraries worldwide.
